THE FULL RUM EXPERIENCE

Take your Rum Experience to the next level by crafting your own spiced rum blend! After the Rum Tasting, dive into the chemistry of flavour with interactive experiments. Choose from a selection of distillates, including tropical pineapple and warming Christmas cake spices, to create a unique spiced rum blend tailored to you. We’ll record your recipe, so you can easily re-order it whenever you like, keeping your perfect blend at hand for future enjoyment.

The Experience

ARRIVAL

Please arrive 5 minutes before your session begins. The Liquor Studio is on the first floor, enter from Lower Briggate and come up the stairs to be greeted by our hosts.
THE RUM TASTING

Relax in the tasting room with a welcome drink and let us take you on a rum-fueled journey for the next hour. Feel free to ask questions along the way!
LET'S GET INTERACTIVE

If you're joining us for The Full Rum Experience, we'll move to the Blending Room where it's time for interactive experiments that explore how your senses impact taste. Then, use your knowledge to create a personalised rum recipe. Name your blend, add a personalised label, and seal the bottle. Your recipe will be recorded for easy reordering!

Bought for a present for my girlfriend. We had a one to one session with a member of staff (Kirsty) and it was fantastic. We spent well over the hour they recommended discussing the gins and their history. A great experience!

My friend and I had the loveliest day at the Liquor Studio for the gin experience. John/Jon (not sure which) was so passionate about the history and science of gin. He had all of us laughing and made everything fun and interesting. We learned so much about gin and had so much fun tasting and making our own.

I took my mother as a Christmas present to liquor studio to make our own gin. The decor is wonderful, lots of soft woods and a huge array of spirits and things to mix them with. The hosts were incredibly engaging and very friendly. With our lack of knowledge in all things gin, they made us feel at ease. It was very informative, never boring. We also got to taste plenty of gins along the way!
